Hardly Able has had a good 2007 year under Bill McAdam’s leadership as president, Jim Bailey as secretary and Jerry Skidmore
treasurer. Our monthly meetings were all held at the Colony Diner who always serves good food. The ladies are included in our meetings.
The Elsmore Parade had some rain as did the Moran Parade, but neither was rained out. We have several more parades to attend this year.
We had a special guest at our August meeting. A beautiful young lady who gave a report on her treatment at Shrine Hospitals, her name is Jessie Parker. She had treatment at the Shreveport Hospital and also at the St. Louis Hospital. It makes one proud to be a Shriner and a part of helping children. She talked about the care she received and the way she was treated. She is the daughter of John and Becky Parker. John is a new member of lola Lodge No. 38 and Mirza Shrine. John and Becky are a real asset to our Fraternity. They live in lola and are active in several community projects.
was nice to see Jessie working in a bank in lola this summer. She always had a smile for you when you went to the bank.
