MIRZA NOBELLES

    The Nobelles are still meeting every fourth Tuesday at Otto’s Café. Our attendance seems to be about the same each month with eighteen attending. Many of our ladies involved in other activities, as well, and cannot always be there.
    We still would like to invite any widow of a Shriner to join us. We enjoy lunch, the fellowship and each other. We get great service and are through before 1:00 p.m.
    Our next meeting will be Tuesday, April 22nd. We have no meeting in May as a lot of us will be out of town for Memorial Day, but we will begin again in September. Until then, we are all looking forward to springtime planting and vacation.
    In the meantime, if there is anyone reading this article that may know of an eligible Lady that might be interested in the Nobelles, please contact me at 620-231-1826.

    Happy New Year from the Nobelles, and may it be healthy, prosperous, and “ice free”.
    The Nobelles have not met since October when Martha Robinson and Gertrude Shute were hostesses at Otto’s Cafe. Eighteen were present. I am so pleased with the Nobelles; their attendance seems to remain the same, regardless of the weather. They always make an effort to be there. We all seem to enjoy the lunch and the fellowship that goes along with it. We are always happy to receive any lady who is a widow of a Shriner and would like to try a stress free atmosphere. If you have a driver, we would love to have them join us, also.
    We are still meeting the fourth Tuesday of the month, January through May. We break for the summer to visit grandchildren, go on vacation, sit by at the pool, or just do nothing. When it cools down, we start up again in September. We don’t meet during the holidays. Come join us for lunch. We meet at Otto’s at 11:00 and are finished by 1:00, so you can attend another meeting somewhere else.
    In November, Emma Louise Ales, Virginia Christy, Martha Robinson and I, were honored to be asked to serve wine at the ladies ceremonial luncheon. Thank you, Lady Jana; this is always a privilege, as it gives us a chance to greet all the ladies there. We appreciate the support to our group.
    Our next meeting will be Tuesday, January 22, Otto’s Cafe at 11:00 a.m. hosted by Mary Lou.

    Our first meeting of the fall was held September 25th at Otto’s Cafe, hosted by Marilyn Noble and Maxine James. Sixteen members and one guest, R. J. Taylor, were present. The table was decorated with a pumpkin floral centerpiece, and fallen leaves scattered along the table — “very fallish,” and very beautiful! We all enjoyed the door prizes we received!
    The Nobelles membership is active about the same each month, even considering some have to come a small distance to get here, and weather permitting.
    We are always glad to receive new members. Our meetings are the fourth Tuesday of each month, January through May. We do not meet during the summer, but begin again in September and October. We do not meet during the holidays. The meetings are held at Otto’s Cafe, at 11:00 a.m. and we are usually through by 1:00 p.m. This is a no stress group, just getting together, eating lunch and catching up. Come and join us for lunch, no obligation, just see if it is something you would like to be a part of. Please call me at 620-231-1826 for more information.
